Eleven Months Later

Funny how you just lose interest in something, huh.

Aika came and went. It was a fun ride. In closed beta I reached level 30, and then open beta happened and the characters were deleted. On my second run I found everything a lot easier and was able to get to level 40 within two weeks. After that, I grinded the rest with RL until I finally reached 50 and stopped playing. After a while, the expansion was released and the level cap was raised to 60, so I logged on once again for a quick Hotglue reunion. This was short lived, as the gaps between the levels were fucking huge. We had one last party at Bekun's place and officially quit. A few months later I logged back on to see how things were going. I got my character to 51, and did a few dungeons, then I decided to say goodbye.

Other online games went through beta testing within that timeframe. I tried out FreeJack, Soul Master, Microvolts, LOCO, Iris Online and World of Tanks. All of them were fun, but couldn't keep me hooked.

Now, Team Fortress 2 on the other hand...
I've been playing a LOT of TF2. I finally got some decent hats, and I got in on a few preorder promos, so my loadout is pretty badass. I mostly play on surf servers nowadays but occasionally I go back to some classic CP.

Of course, in eleven months I have watched a lot of anime. K-ON!! was probably the best anime of 2010, with fucking awesome moe scenes and some euphoric musical episodes. I'm currently catching up on the last season of Hidamari Sketch, and I'm following a fuckton of anime this season, including Yumekui Merry, Gosick, Madoka Magica and Hourou Musuko.

I've also been up to a lot of IRL stuff. I managed to complete all my ICT and Media work, and I did fairly well on the Religious Studies test, landing me with a Distinction, a B and a D; just enough to get the university placement I wanted. Unexpectedly, I did perfect on my Japanese test, and ended up with an A* in GCSE Japanese. I'm currently on my gap year, NEETing it up and playing a fuckton of MMOs, VNs and of course TF2. I've got my university placement and will be choosing accomodation in April.

I guess I should get a job if I want to go to Comiket this summer. Hopefully I'll be working at a game retailer in a few weeks.

Updated faster than VGC.

...and that's saying something.

Aika CB2 went active a few days ago. This time I got into Hotglue, and I was joined by an osu! user. I'm leveling up a lot more too.

Other than Aika, I haven't really been doing much. I have two years' worth of ICT work to do in the next three months, which I still haven't started.

Steam's new look seems pretty nice, but it's slightly less user-friendly than how it used to be. The games interface is pissing me off. Also the friends list still sucks.

I finished the second season of Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. It was pretty crappy compared to the first one, and there was only like one otaku reference. I'm watching DtB now (although slowly), which is pretty fucking badass.

Pokebis likes men.

Goodbye, underageb&

Valentine's Day was fun. /a/ and /jp/ did this awesome ronery collage thing:

However, the day has just ended. It is 00:14 AM on the 15th of Febuary, which means it is now my 18th birthday.
I can now buy hentai, eroge and kerosine, and I can post on /b/. This could be both good and bad.

In other news, Aika Online's CB2 should be starting soon. CB1 was fucking amazing, and Aika is the best MMO I've ever played.

I suggest rape.

By the way, this is supposed to be a perverted blog.

Have something perverted.

So uhh, I got Left 4 Dead 2. I've just finished playing the campaigns and overall I think it's good. About as good as Left 4 Dead was, so, very good.

I finally recieved my UCAS user ID today in the post. I've had no offers yet, but I have a high chance of getting one from my first choice as it's a differred application. The only problem I have now is that even if I get a good offer, I need to get my expected qualifications otherwise my plans for the next few years are ruined.
My group's still filming the same scene for media, and it's proving to be particularly awkward. Luckily, this means I get to crossdress more at school.
Speaking of school, it looks like there aren't any plans to remove the file and port restrictions on the network, so I can't play any games from my flash drive, and I can only use qchat for IRC.

/a/'s 30000000 GET wasn't so bad. It was a waifu GET, specifically, Seiba. Of course, this could be another ModGET, but at least it's not a KuboGET.

NicoNico's been pretty good recently. There's been a lot of classic-style MADs in the charts, as well as various ーってみたs.

I've started a Livestream channel. I don't really plan on using it much (since procaster doesn't work with AA turned on), but occasionally I get the urge to stream. So far, I've only been testing it with Abe's Exoddus.

I suggest rape.

Edit:
I just got an email from UCAS.
If I can get 280 UCAS points, I'll have a place on the Games Technology course at Bristol UWE.
Fuck, from here on in, I'm on haado modo.

I hear a hunter...

Got my Gaming PC, so now I can finally get around to playing games.
Windows 7 is pretty good, but I've noticed a lot of compatibility issues, which isn't that surprising considering it's x64.
Steam's winter sale has been good to me, and I have plenty of games to play on this thing.
TF2 is kickass, which was exactly what I was expecting. I suck at it, but yeah, it's kickass.
Mirror's edge is boring, mostly because I already completed it on Xbox. Similar thing with Bioshock, except I haven't completed it. Having said that, the graphics on UE3 games are fucking awesome, like, really awesome.
Left 4 Dead is FUCK YEAHHHHHH on this PC. I can finally grasp all the kiai I get from shouting obsceneties at the horde.
GMod finally runs well with addons. I'm currently running through HL2's story with this Mega AK SWEP that I don't remember downloading.
Audiosurf with full settings is trippy as fuck. It's starting to get boring, though. Maybe I need some new songs.

Strangely, I don't feel the need to go on IRC anymore. Hopefully it's just because I haven't exhausted my attention span on gaming yet.

By the way, my SteamID is NeoNyan. Add me if you want, but d-don't get the wrong idea! It's not like I want to be f-f-friends or anything!

I suggest rape. Also the game, except this time in 1080p with 16xQ CSAA running at 60fps capped or 273fps with no vsync.

KIIIIIERUHIKOUGIGUMOOOOO

Recently I've been on Minecraft a lot, I currently have a server set up (link in my osu! sig) and shit's pretty badass. Not many people come on anymore, but occasionally I join and find some massive structure that wasn't there before.
Yesterday, I joined #uboachan. It's not very fast, but the users are pretty funny, and they talk about Touhou more than #touhou does.
The school thing was resolved pretty quickly. Basically, they got everyone who was involved to attend a meeting to find out who flooded the school. Also, they blocked all .exe files, so no lose/lose, or anything else for that matter. At least I still have Minecraft and Bloons Tower Defense 4.
I finished Manabi Straight. It was pretty damn good for a slice-of-life animu. I'm currently watching Higashi no Eden (Eden of the East) and I'm enjoying it so far. The OP is awesome.
I dropped about half of the currently-airing anime I was following, leaving me with Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, Kaempfer, Seitokai no Ichizon and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun.
I changed my mind about the Alienware PC. I'm now getting a custom-built one from a local computer shop. Everything about it is better than the Alienware, and it's cheaper.
I heard there's a new Geass animu announced, but I still haven't got around to watching the first two seasons.

I suggest rape. Also メリークリスマス。

I am cool.

For the last few months, I've been playing MK64 at school, and I showed everyone else how to do it, too. It quickly became one of the major accepted school pastimes.
Two weeks ago, I was told that there's a way to send popup messages over LAN using command prompt, and I soon figured it out, but I didn't tell anyone.
Probably through observation, someone else found out how to do it. Whoever it was didn't keep it a secret, and yesterday the network was completely flooded with global messages saying "maggot".
Of course, the staff didn't like this, and today they performed various anti-fun operations such as deleting everyone's emulators and restricting both command prompt and project64.exe. In ICT, there was a small meeting between the head ICT teacher and the lead technician- the ICT head believes the existence of the popup messages to be a "major security breach" and he thinks someone put a worm in the system called project.64.
This could be fun. If it gets too annoying, I have a copy of lose/lose on my SD card.
